Friday the 6th of May

Thank you again to those parents who had their virtual parent meetings this week. We have again received much positive feedback.

A short online survey shall soon be sent out to you, which will hopefully help us develop the meetings further.

News Update from The Friends of St Joseph's

Hello - you may remember that all the money raised from our Christmas Raffle was to be spent on SEN provisions for every class. Well, we have an update...

“Good morning,

Please can you pass on our thanks to the Friends of St. Joseph's. We have sensory boxes ready to go into each class, the Amulet graphic novel book set for the library, voice recorders to support sentence writing in classes and a year's subscription to 'Audible' for children to listen to their favourite stories.

Thank you from everyone for all the hard work that went into the fundraising.

Kind regards,

Mrs Fern”

...Thank you again to everyone who bought raffle tickets or donated a prize x

This week in assembly, we continued to think about Perseverance and Resilience.

Together we watched the video of Derek Redmond in the 1992 Olympics, where his father carries him over the finish line. We linked this to the way that our loving Father always carries us.

We then all reflected on how we could support us just as the Father supports us all.

Language Legend Of The Week

This week's Language Legend is Maria Y6 for always going above and beyond in French lessons and her beautiful written presentation.

Y6 SATS

Next week our wonderful Y6 children take their national SATS. We are incredibly proud of this wonderful group of young people, who have approached their revision and preparation with maturity and resilience.

We wish them all the very best !

This week our Times Table Superstars are....Evie, Ollie,Ose,Sophie and Theo W

For practising really hard and showing amazing effort towards times tables over the last week.

On Sunday at the 10am Mass, 25 of our KS2 children shall be making their First Holy Communion. We wish them all many congratulations and pray that they shall all grow in the grace and knowledge our Lord.

During the month of May we dedicate our prayers to Mary. This year we have introduced saying the Angelus prayer at lunchtime as well as including the Hail Mary in our prayers throughout the day.

On Friday 20th May we will have a special day dedicated to Mary. We would like the children to wear a blue top/t-shirt or jumper and also bring in a few flowers to present to Mary. Hopefully the weather will be fine, and we shall then be able to make a special altar to Our Lady in the school grounds. During the afternoon we will have an assembly led by our Liturgy Leaders to honour Mary in this special month.
