Welcome back, to a new school term.

I hope that you all had a lovely Christmas and stayed fit and well.

The children have as always settled into school well and have been working hard.

As a school we are very mindful at present of the current situation in terms of Omicron and are taking the recommended precautions.

  • Increased ventilation in all areas
  • Staff are wearing face coverings in all communal areas
  • Staff are testing with LFT's twice a week
  • All are ensuring good hygiene throughout the school day

Could I please ask again that you wear a face covering when dropping off and collecting your child. Also, if your child or anyone in your household is unwell please follow Government guidance and take a test.

We are in regular contact with the Local Authority and Public Health Sheffield and shall update you if additional measures are needed to be taken.

Please can all children have an additional layer of clothing, such as a gilet or fleece, to wear over their school uniforms when in class. We are still keeping doors and windows open in an effort to improve ventilation at the moment. Please note that this item does not need to be uniform.

All children in FS and KS1 will be given a healthy snack each day to eat at break time.

Please note that KS2 children may bring in a small snack for morning break. This should be a healthy snack, such as a piece of fruit or plain biscuits. Chocolate and crisps are not allowed.

All children should bring in a water bottle daily, filled with clean water. Juice, cordial or fizzy flavoured waters are not allowed.

Introducing 30 additional languages with Speech Recognition

Congratulations to Kieran in Y2 our Language Legend of the week, for excellent listening skills in Spanish.

Virtue to Live by

We have started the term by exploring the virtue of Faith.

The children have learnt that to have Faith is to trust. Faith helps us all to grow in friendship with Jesus and His friendship helps us become the best we can be by trusting in Him, so we can become more like Him.

"I welcome miracles.

I believe in great possibilities.

I have faith in my destiny.

I release fear and worry.

My heart knows what is true.

I trust in the journey of life."
