Thank you to all of our families who donated to this good cause. The children looked great in their red outfits and spent the day discussing racism and how unkind  it is.

The day finished with our whole school assembly, one of our children summed things up perfectly...

"God has made us all unique and special , he loves us all."

 Coffee Morning

Many thanks to everyone who donated cakes and biscuits last Friday.

The coffee morning was a real success; it was lovely to see so many of you in school. A staggering amount of £603.10 was raised, which shall be added to Mrs Hutchinson’s fund to purchase a defibrillator for the local area.

It is Mrs Hutchinsonson wish that the defibrillator is donated to school, to benefit the school and Parish community , in memory of her husband Paul.

Thank you for all of the harvest  donations for the Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal. I know that they would want me to pass on their thanks to you all. These contributions will make a real difference to the people that they support.

REMEMBERANCE DAYImage result for remembrance poppy

Every Class has been busy designing a piece of art work to be displayed in church, for Remembrance Day. They really are stunning, please look out for them when you are at Mass.

WATER BOTTLES

After half term, all of the children will be given a school water bottle. Please make sure that the bottle is washed and filled with clean water each day.

Prefects will refill the bottles at mid day.

We feel it is important that the children stay hydrated whilst they are in school, it will make a real difference to their concentration and energy levels.

If your child does loose their bottle another may be purchased from the school office.

PARKING

It has been brought to our attention , that a number of parents are still parking in restricted areas.

This can be a real danger to our children. Please make sure that you do not park on the zigzag lines or double yellow lines outside of school – they are there for a reason, to keep your children safe.

We would  like to request that when parking in the area around the school everyone considers the safety of the pupils and is considerate of the needs of our neighbours. For environmental reasons it would also be appreciated if engines are switched off if there is a need to wait around the school.

In November, during Road Safety week our children will once again be outside in the mornings to remind everyone to park safely.

CAULIFLOWER CARDSImage result for Christmas card kids

You may have received an order form for the Cauliflower Cards, Christmas Cards. If your child wishes to have their art work printed , please make sure that you return to class the order form with the art work glued to it and the appropriate payment, by Monday the 12th November, to make sure that you receive your order before Christmas.

We hope that you all have a lovely half term holiday. We look forward to seeing the children back in school on Monday the 5th of November.
