Eight Ideas to Celebrate the End of the School Year During COVID-19 - Intellispark

How to Say Goodbye to a Team Member? - BlogIn

Today we say goodbye to our wonderful Y6 children. They have been an absolute delight to have in school, and we shall miss them all very much. We wish them every happiness as they continue with their next steps in education at their different secondary schools. Also, we wish our other leavers lots of luck and happiness as they move to new schools in September, we know that they shall be fantastic !

Today we also say goodbye to three members of staff. Miss George (Y1) and Miss Philips (Reception) who shall be leaving us to continue their careers at different schools. Both teachers have been incredible this year and have really gone over and above in so many ways. We wish them both luck and happiness for the future.

We also say goodbye to Mrs May (Y5) who along with her husband, shall soon be embarking on an exciting adventure in Singapore. Mrs May has been at St Joseph's for three years now and in that time has achieved a great deal. We thank her for everything that she has done for St Joseph's, and we know that she has an amazing career ahead of her.

This year it is fair to say that they have been an absolutely incredible team. Even during these challenging times they have represented the school on many occasions and done it wonderfully. They have shown maturity, responsibility and a real love of St Joseph's.

COVID-19 Update

We do hope that in September, we can return to school with a little normality. We await advices from Public Health Sheffield and the Local Authority as how to how we should return to school in September.

As soon as we are instructed, we shall be in contact with you all to let you know the specific arrangements.

If you or a member of your family displays symptoms of COVID-19, we would recommend that you have a PCR test at a local testing centre.  We really hope that this does not happen, but if your child/children test positive please could you email school on :

office @st-josephs.sheffield.sch.uk

This email shall be regularly monitored throughout the holidays.

School shall be available to carry out the contact tracing until Sunday the 25th of July. After this time the NHS will pick up this contact tracing, through Track and Trace.

As this is the last newsletter of the year, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our families for the support and encouragement you have shown during this challenging year.

We wish you all a safe and relaxing summer and look forward to seeing the children back in school on Thursday the 2nd of September.

Loving God, we pray for all children as they prepare for a new season in their lives.

As they start nursery or school for the first time – give them joy in new experiences .

As they move to new classes – give them confidence in growing friendships

As they move to new schools – give them strength in their growing independence

May we make our homes places of relaxation, joy, love, peace and safety.

And for all the parents, teachers, assistants, and helpers  who teach and nurture our children and young people, we ask for your blessing, your joy, your wisdom and your patience as they re-charge their batteries over the summer break, ready for the new term! We ask this in the name of Jesus.

Amen.
