Staffing Update

Dear Parents,

At the end of term we shall be saying goodbye to three of our teachers.

Miss George (Y1) who shall be moving to St Patrick's Catholic Primary School and Miss Philips, who shall be moving to St Edmunds. Both teachers have done an absolutely fantastic job whilst at St Joseph's, and we wish them well for their future careers.

We shall also be saying goodbye to Mrs May(Miss Addlestone)(Y5) who will be leaving the UK, to start a teaching position in an international school in Singapore. Again we wish her well for the future and thank her for her excellent contributions to the school, over the last three years.

We thank them all for everything that they have done for us and wish them every success and happiness in their future careers.

Next year, we shall be joined by two new teachers, Miss Keenan who shall teach in Reception and Mrs Loveridge who shall be teaching Y5. Both teachers will bring much experience to St Joseph's, and we are sure that you shall join us in welcoming them into our school family.`

Transition :

Next week transition sessions shall start for all the children. As we are still working in class bubbles, this will once again be done remotely, but will still give the children the chance to get to know their new teachers a little and discover what next year will have in store for them.

This week our star awards go to.....

Nursery : Paul for being a kind friend and also for trying really hard with his phonics.

Reception: Toby for working really hard towards his dream of being a pianist when he grows up and playing Twinkle Twinkle beautifully on the piano.

Year 1: Leo, Oceane and Ann — Treasa have all been fantastic friends this week, inviting other children into their games, making sure everyone feels included and looking after children who are hurt or on their own. Wonderful teamwork and wonderful friends!

Year 2: Thomas, for his super spelling.  He has improved a lot this year and his hard work has paid off.

Year 3: Molly for her focus and drive to complete work well with challenges.

Year 4: Ann — For trying really hard this week and participating well in all lessons!

Year 5: Emily — for being an excellent role model and a wonderful caring friend.
