Newsletters

Friday the 19th of March

It does seem to be a long time since we mentioned this on the newsletter , but please can we ask that if your child brings in a packed lunch that it is balanced and healthy.

It has been noted that a number of children are bringing in several chocolate bars in their packed lunch. Children can of course have a chocolate biscuit as a treat , but shouldn't have full sized chocolate bars or several packets of crisps for lunch .

Similarly the KS2 children are not allowed crisps or chocolate bars for break time and should have a healthy alternative, such as fruit or plain biscuits .

It has also been noticed that a number of children are having juice or cordial in their water bottles. Children are only allowed water in their bottles.

Unfortunately parking remains a real issue around school. Please make sure that you park safely sensibly and legally at all times.

We shall be contacting parking services again if the current situation continues.

Parking services are more than happy to receive complaints from individual parents too.

Concerns about parking around school - contact Sheffield City Council Parking Services on:

TIME KEEPING

Please can we ask that you make a real effort to be on time, both when dropping off and collecting your child.

The morning staggered time slots are very tight and teachers have to quickly take their class into school , so as to keep them apart from other bubbles.

If you are unavoidably late, for any reason, please call the school office. It is likely you may then have to wait for all other children to enter school, before we can escort your child/children in.

Thank you so much for your co-operation with this.

Many schools have raised a number of concerns to the  Public Health Team this week regarding families no longer adhering to the national COVID-19 measures including mixing indoors. Please continue to follow Government guidance and do  not mix with others indoors. If this happens there is a strong risk that community transmission of the virus will start to increase which results in cases coming into school. This in turn would potentially mean that bubbles will close and children will have to self isolate at home.

Update to guidance for parents

DfE has updated the guidance on what parents need to know about early years providers, schools and colleges during COVID-19.

This collection brings together information and guidance for parents on:

  • essential information for the spring term

  • clubs and out-of-school settings
  • home schooling and remote education
  • support for children and young people
