Y2 Eco Warriors

Two very sensible Y2 girls Lucy and Charlotte have this week been litter picking in our playground. They started this as they wanted to keep our lovely playground tidy.

The girls told the whole school today what they had been doing and why they were doing it. They spoke so confidently ! We were all very impressed with them both.

Language Legend

Malcolm (Y5) has earned the Language Learner award this week for his amazing work doing sums in French. He should be very proud of himself! Keep up the fabulous work Malcolm!

Praise

Just as we broke up for the Christmas holiday we received a lovely comment from one of the parishioners, which we wanted to share with you all.

"Hi. Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone involved in the service this afternoon. I came to see my granddaughter. All the children did very well and the songs sung by the choir were very poignant. I remember my daughter singing one of them at the same age my granddaughter is now. Also thank you for proclaiming the true message of Christmas and birth of our Saviour Jesus.

Wishing you all a Blessed Christmas and a restful holiday x"

As a school we are extremely proud of all of our pupils, past and present.

Many leave us and go onto achieve much success, both in their future education and careers.

We are inviting some of our alumni back into school to speak to our KS2 children and hopefully inspire them to aim high. Before the Christmas break, Lennie who is currently a student at Birkdale, visited us. He did extremely well with his entrance examination, attaining some of their highest scores.

Lennie hopes to be a surgeon in the future, we are sure he will achieve his goals.

This week, we were visited by Charlotte, who is currently a student at Keele University, studying law and politics. She also impressed us all.

Charlotte hopes to travel after completing her degree and then continue her studies - hopefully going on to complete her Masters and Ph.D. We are sure she will achieve this goal.

Virtue of the week - FAITH

I know that faith is a gift from God Faith helps me grow in friendship with Jesus I show my faith by living my life filled with hope and love.

Faith: Is to trust. Faith helps us to grow in friendship with God and his friendship helps us to become the best we can be by becoming more like him. Growing in friendship with Jesus means learning to trust him and knowing that he is always with us. Faith is always open to new things because if you have faith you are a trusting person. A person of faith believes in God and all that God has done. But faith is not simply a belief that something is true, it is a way of living. We are called not only to keep the faith but to live a faithful life filled with hope and love.
