Thank you to all of you who came to our Harvest Festival, it really was lovely to see so many of you.

The children had been rehearsing hard and were very excited about the performance especially as we haven't done anything together as a school for such a long time - some of our younger children had never taken part before in a whole school event.

Thank you also for your very generous donations, we shall make sure that these much-needed items are delivered to the local foodbank.

Today we were so pleased to receive sets of Rosary beads, for every child in the school from the Cantenians.

They suggested the following ideas :

A number of bishops most notably Bishop John Keenan of Paisley diocese at least 6 other bishops from the USA, Ireland, Uganda, Nigeria, the Netherlands, and the Philippines as well as Cardinal Sara and, Cardinal Burke, are very enthused with the ideas of Blythe Kaufmann, who has written a booklet called 'Child Consecration to Jesus through Mary' following in the spirit of St Therese. Bishop Keenan has said "I encourage every parent, teacher, and priest to read this book,,,,, confident that it has the grace to bring in a great harvest for the Church"

The Rosary is a prayer that always accompanies me; it is also the prayer of the ordinary people and the saints... it is a prayer from my heart. - Pope Francis

We shall be handing the rosary beads out to the children after the holiday.

With Christmas fast approaching, many of us are thinking of gifts ! Books are always a great idea - we have some excellent titles in our "100 Books To Read Before You Leave St Joseph's."

Please check out the titles on our school website.

This week we sadly say goodbye to two much loved members of staff, Mrs Clarke and Mrs Moulds.

I am sure that you will all join us in thanking them for everything that they have done for St Joseph's over the years and wishing them every happiness for the future.

They shall both be very much missed by all the children and staff.

We hope that you all have a wonderful half-term holiday - we look forward to seeing the children back in school on Monday the 31st of October
