Advent

This season of Advent is a wonderful time to be in school. The children have been preparing their hearts during this special period. They have all spent time in their classes lighting their beautiful wreaths and reflecting and praying together.

Our Prayer Leaders have also continued to lead weekly prayer meetings with children from across the school. These lunchtime clubs have been very popular, and the children have been writing prayers of hope and thanks, which are now being displayed on our new prayer wall.

Last Monday, our Year 3 class led the whole school in sharing their Advent Assembly on Hope. This was the first of our Advent Assemblies and really set the standard for the rest of the KS2 classes.

This Monday, Year 4 shared their assembly on Peace, which was equally wonderful. They shared important lessons with us and also performed some very beautiful liturgical dance.

Next week, we come to the end of our school Advent journey. Year 5 and Year 6 will deliver their special assemblies to us all, bringing our Advent celebrations to a joyful close. ✨🌟

The school nativity performances started this week and have been absolutely amazing! 🌟
The Infants’ production was "The angel who nearly missed it all" and showcased such brilliant talent. The children spoke, sang, and danced beautifully!

It really put us all into the festive spirit and filled the school with joy 🎄✨

Today our Reception class treated us to their performance. The children were absolutely incredible — it’s hard to believe that they have only been in school since September. They were all so confident, and the singing was beautiful once again.

Next week we warmly invite you to join us for our Year 5 Advent Assembly in church at 2pm, and our KS2 Carols and Readings in church on Tuesday at 2pm. It would be wonderful to see you there and share in the festive spirit with us! 🎄✨

This is a fundraising event, and all proceeds will be donated to Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

We suggest a £1 donation per child, which can be brought into school on the day (or £1.50 paid via the School Gateway. )
