Friday 28th March

This week has been especially exciting for many of our classes. We have had trips to Cannon Hall Farm, the cinema, St Maries Cathedral and Yorkshire Wildlife Centre. We have also continued on our Lenten journey, with many of the children spending time in church with Mrs George.

It has been a wonderful half-term, one in which we have achieved so much. Thank you as always for all of your support during this time.

We wish all of our families a lovely spring break. Hopefully the sun will continue to shine ! We look forward to seeing the children back in school on the 14th of April, for the start of a new term.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Mrs George, who has been helping us prepare ourselves during our Lenton journey. Mrs George has taken each class into church for Stations of the Cross. All the children found this a really special time and learnt many interesting facts about our beautiful church.

This week Year 2 visited Cannon Hall Farm. They had a very exciting time, meeting lots of animals, playing in the playground and picnicking in the sunshine. Thank you to Sheffield Heritage Food Trust for funding this wonderful visit.

Our amazing Y3 class had their Dojo reward this week and enjoyed a special trip to the cinema to see Wild Robot.

We were so proud of the children, many members of the public commented on their excellent behaviour.

On Wednesday, our Y1 children had a fun day out at the Yorkshire Wildlife Centre. The children saw many different animals and enjoyed spending the day outdoors in the spring sunshine !

This week our Joseph Bear spent some time in Church, before beginning his special pilgrimage.

Father Mark invited Joseph into the presbytery. Here he is in Father Mark's dining room, getting ready to have his tea, building up his strength, ready for his pilgrimage.

After a lovely time in church, Joseph Bear was ready for his journey.....

He set off on Monday on a visit with our Y4 class to St Maries' Cathedral.

Joseph Bear is having a little rest over the holiday, but will be ready for more adventures next term !
