Friday 28th February 2025

In January, we joined thousands of pupils across England and Wales to celebrate the Jubilee Year Launch Day embarking on our journey as pilgrims of hope.

This week we put up our wonderful Pilgrims of Hope banner. Here we have some of our Liturgy Leaders with the banner.

On Monday we all welcomed Joseph Bear, our very special school pilgrim of hope. During this year, Joseph Bear will be on a pilgrimage where he will spend time in many special places. We shall all find out more about him and his travels in the coming weeks and months.

Next week, Ash Wednesday, marks the beginning of Lent.

All of our KS2 children will attend the Parish Mass at St Joseph's Church. The KS1 and FS children shall all take part in a Lenten service in school.

According to Ofcom’s most recent Media Use and Attitudes Report, roughly 55% of 3-17-year-olds in the UK are using WhatsApp as their primary messaging service. Not only does that make WhatsApp the most popular messaging platform amongst children and young people in the UK; it also means that of the app’s approximately three billion users, over seven million of them are British youngsters – keeping in touch with friends and family, but also being exposed to its various risks.

As parents and educators, it’s our responsibility to stay up-to-date on the safety concerns around this highly popular app, and know how to protect children and young people who are on the platform.
