Week 3 (year C) Advent Candle Lighting – Rev. Dr. Jeff Binder

On Monday, our wonderful Y5 elves sang their hearts out in their class assembly.

They really did share lots of joy and happiness.

Finally, our incredible Y6 children completed our advent journey with our final assembly. They did a performance for parents and then one for the whole school. They were fantastic !

Thank you to all the parents who came to school to watch this.

The KS2 Carols and Readings performance was really beautiful this year. The children sang and spoke so well. Thank you to all of our visitors for joining us. We hope you enjoyed the event as much as we did.

A perfect end to our school advent journey.

Dear Parents /Carers,

This has been an extremely busy term, but an exciting one nonetheless.

The children have enjoyed many trips to places like Cannon Hall, The Emergency Services Museum, Moorlands, The Crucible Theatre and, of course, the amazing Y6 residential to Hollowford.

The last few weeks in particular have been extremely special as we celebrated our advent journey together. This year it was really lovely to be able to share advent assemblies with you in our beautiful church. The acting and singing at all of our performances have been spectacular this year. Huge thanks to the children and, of course, our fantastic staff team for all their hard work.

Our newly formed PTA has made sure that there has been lots of Christmas magic and sparkle in school too.  The children loved their disco and the fabulous Panto and breakfast with a special gentleman was truly exciting !

Thank you as always to you, for all of your support this term.

I do hope that you all have a very happy and holy Christmas and a wonderful  new year. I look forward to seeing you all back at school on the 6th of January 2025.

God Bless,

Mrs McFarlane
