Curriculum

This term we will be learning about the following -

English - We will be studying the classic children’s story ‘How to Train Your Dragon' by Cressida Cowell.

Maths - Securing multiplication facts; fractions; time; decimals; area and perimeter.

Science - Until half-term we will be learning about Animals, including humans. After half-term we will learn about States of Matter.

RE - Community; Giving and Receiving; Self-discipline; New-life

Topic - We follow a creative curriculum, which means our topic will include aspects from History, Geography, DT and Art. This term we will be focussing on history in our topic called "Viking Invasion".

PE - last swimming session is on the 6th February.

Swimming will be on a Wednesday afternoon. As swimming is a double session, there will not be another lesson timetabled in on a specific day. However,  I hope to take the children out for a second PE session on another day during the week, so please ensure that PE kits are in school at all times. This term we will endeavour to have PE lessons outdoors, weather permitting.

Home Learning

Home Learning will continue to be given out on a Friday to be returned the following Thursday. It will be related to what the pupils have been learning about that week.

In addition, spellings will be given out on a Monday for the children to learn at home. They will be tested the following Monday.

The children have been given their Times Table Rockstars usernames and passwords this week for them to practice at home. You can access the website here https://ttrockstars.com/
